About our founder
Xavier M. Plater is an award-winning filmmaker and visual storyteller, and the founder and CEO of X-Media Productions, which has been creating compelling visual content for 9 years. A film graduate from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Xavier specializes in content for organizations with impact, crafting narratives that resonate, inspire, and drive engagement for initiatives that matter.
His work has supported institutions such as 21st Century Schools, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and Public Health, Downtown Baltimore Partnership, Baltimore City Public Schools, Under Armour, Smithsonian Folkways Recordings, and the Maryland State Democratic Party, among others. Xavier’s short films and documentary work have been screened at festivals worldwide, including JHU/MICA Film Festival, Tampa Bay Film Society, Baltimore International Black Film Festival, Courage Film Festival (Berlin), and Lift Off Global (Los Angeles).
Specializing in campaign videos, corporate storytelling, nonprofit advocacy, and brand content, Xavier approaches every project with a cinematic eye, ensuring that each story is not only visually striking but strategically aligned to achieve measurable impact. His work bridges artistry and results, helping organizations communicate their mission with authenticity, clarity, and authority.
